In Tutorial 4, we defined the geometry of the proposed wall in terms of Top and Bottom of wall grading, length of Wall, etc. In Tutorial 5, we now look at each section or Panel of the Wall individually and apply the appropriate loading conditions. Loading can be applied as a slope, broken back slope, or a surcharge load, such as traffic. Once loading has been applied, we move to the Design Tab and begin the process of reinforcing the wall with Geogrid, or just analyzing the Wall in the case of a Conventional or Gravity Wall, and checking our Design. Vespa’s unique Generate function automatically applies reinforcement where necessary, and allows for easy manual manipulation of the results. The powerful calculation engine is able to analyze the Wall Panel for Static, Seismic and Internal Compound Stability simultaneously.
